We’ve been trying to get the girls photos down for awhile now. We finally made ourselves get up and out early this morning. We went to the square in Pilot Point. Wynn and I didn’t feel 100%, and the girls were not as cooperative as I’d hope. Emmy’s at a hard age to photograph. This is my favorite photo of the two of them together. Rea’s hanging back watching, as Emmy tries to make a run for it. Pretty much sums up our morning. It was so much fun. Nothing like chasing barefoot girls around a square!

Rea is really learning to “work it” when being photographed. Her personality always shines thru.

It’s so hard for us to get Emmy to smile for photos, so I’m always so happy when I get one. She has such a pretty smile…when she shows it off.

I just love that little face!

Rea’s friend Madie came over for the afternoon today. They had so much fun. After dinner we got out the pool for the girls. The had the best time. Madie’s already asking to come back, and Rea’s already asking to go to her house.

Sometimes Rea just feels the need to stop playing and growl.

We got the girls up at 5:45 this morning, so we could go to the Celina Balloon Festival. We stopped for donuts on the way out, so the girls were happy. The balloons were really neat. The girls enjoyed camping out on the field and watching them fly overhead. Rea’s favorite part of the morning was probably playing on the park’s playground. Emmy’s favorite was running around in the field. We’re thinking about going back tonight for the Balloon Glow.

Does Emmy have it made or what? Nothing like a little pool side breakfast on a Friday morning.

Here’s Emmy bright eyed and bushy headed after her afternoon nap. She was watching her after nap/trying to wake up Backyardigans. Once she has her milk and one episode of the Backyardigans, she’s good to go.

Rea loves to sit in front of the back door and play. She keeps telling me to buy a new rug to put in front of the door. I’m just not sure I’m ready to have Emmy running thru the house with my rug again.
