We’re having Rea’s birthday party on Saturday, and almost our entire guest list is going to be here. I had two more rsvps last night, which is great but we were suddenly out of seats. After some running around town today, I found a cute Cars table set at Toys R Us. The girls love it. Emmy because the chairs are her size. Rea because the top is a dry erase board.
Now not only do we have seating for our 12 little guests, we also have a great activity/craft table for this summer!

I tried and tried to get a photo of both girls peaking out from underneath the fort, but they were too busy crawling in and out. I’m trying to figure out a way to make a really big fort. Maybe I’ll come up with something clever soon, so I can surprise them.

Emmy squealed in delight when I built the girls a fort today. I have a feeling I will be building one again tomorrow.

There’s only one thing that Emmy loves more than a fort, and that is climbing on top of it and knocking it down. I bet I rebuilt it 20 times today, but it was worth it just to hear both girls llaughing as Emmy destroyed the fort.

Here’s my littlest kitchen helper. I really need to make them new aprons.

As parents, we often getting inundated with “why” questions. It can get to be a wee bit tedious at times, but then sometimes they hit you with a “why” question that is just down right funny. Today on the way home from church, we were behind a truck that was pulling a horse trailer. We pointed out the horse to Rea. It took her a moment to spot the horse behind the bars of the trailer. When she did, she said…”why has that horse been kidnapped?”

Rea’s been playing with some old stretched out wrist bands. Emmy finally got her chance to put them on today. She was so proud of herself. Wynn and I couldn’t resist adding a headband and taking a quick photo. Rea didn’t want her picture taken today…maybe tomorrow.

When thing is for sure…Emmy loves her daddy.
Look how happy she is.

Rea’s been asking to do the Wii for a couple days. So today when I put Emmy down for her nap, I got Rea all set up on the wii. It was great timing, since I needed to mop anway. Rea must have played for 45 minutes. She would come get me when she wanted to change activites. She boxed, hula-hopped, ran…you name it. Well, when I went upstairs to tell that she had played enough wii for the day. She tells me…”I need a towel for around my neck and a juice.” I guess the little booger really worked up a sweat.

I just thought this was cute. She’s got so much hair, but she didn’t want any part of a hair clip today.
