I was busy putting away groceries when Emmy brought me a diaper. She gets into the diapers all the time, so I didn’t think anything of it. I just put it in the diaper box and got back to work. About 45 minutes later, we go into the kitchen for lunch. I see a huge puddle on the floor. I point and ask Wynn, “what is that?” We start looking for Rea’s juice cup thinking that Emmy had gotten ahold of it and spilled it. Wynn looks to see if Emmy’s diaper is wet. He lifts up her dress, and there is no diaper. That little booger had be sashshaying around free as a bird! At least she was kind enough to pee on the tile and not on the carpet.
In an email to Jeni today, I told her that in a few months Emmy will be the age that Rea was when we left Houston. (Don’t worry I won’t turn this into “Oh Houston, how I miss you.” post).
So, I thought it would be fun to pull out a photo of when Rea was 14 months to compare with Emmy at 14 months. They are both just so stinking cute!!!
I went upstairs this morning to get a basket of laundry, and when I came back down, Rea had her arms thru her shorts and was running around laughing. She was just a running with arms flailing. Emmy was laughing running along right behind her. When I asked her what she was doing, she said she was a spider. I have no idea where it came from, but it was funny non the less.
It doesn’t matter where we go or what we do. Rea can always make me laugh! I love that about her.
This would be perfect if her hair had still been clipped back out of her eyes. This photo has me itching to do the girls’ spring photos. Come on spring!
The kids loved playing at the park this afternoon. I think this was right after Connor threw a handful of mulch at Reagan, and right before he spit a mouth full of water in her face. I don’t know about you, but I think this means that he “likes” her.
Emmy much preferred to walk up the slide than to actually slide down.
Emmy has her usual sinus infection, sore throat, cough combo. We had a late night and early morning. She crawled up into my lap around 11a this morning and let me rock her to sleep. Rea helped me get the comforter out so I could put her on the floor. We covered her up and Rea snuggled up as close as she could get to her and just watched her sleep. She would pat the top of her head every so often. We ate lunch, and Rea went right back to watching Emmy. When Emmy finally woke up, Rea looked at her and said, “hey booger!”
