Wow, what a year! Reagan turned 3, learned how to ride a bike and started pre-school. Emerson had so many firsts: first smile, first word, first step. The list goes on and on for both of them.
Here are the girls saying “good-bye” to 2008 as they head upstairs to bed. Wynn and I can’t wait to see what 2009 will bring.
We’ll see you all next year!

So what happens when all the bibs are in the washer? You get to eat without a shirt on. This reminds me of how we would just go ahead and strip Rea down to her diaper on spaghetti night. Those days won’t be too far off…if we can ever get Emmy to stop being such a picky eater. I can’t complain about it too much, because she got it from me. I did find a food yesterday that she liked…honey buns.

To say that Reagan is mesmerized by the Wii Fit is an understatement. This is her staring at the tv, while Wynn made her Mii character. She has brown/red “antennas” (pigtails), glasses and a purple shirt. She’s pretty funny about the purple shirt. She thinks she has to run to her closet and put on an actual purple shirt to match her Mii.

Reagan wanted to say the blessing at lunch today, so Wynn said she could. Here’s how it went…”Dear Jesus, Thank you for dinner and dessert. Amen.” Not bad, short, sweet and to the point.

This morning I took Emmy’s sippy cup from her so I could fill it back up with milk. She started sobbing, and I mean big o’ fat tears too. As soon as I gave her a full cup, she was fine. I did hurry and grab the camera so I could get a picture before the tears were gone.

Emmy was such the little Nana’s girl while Nana & Pops were here. Emmy got a nasty fever while they were here, which made Emmy even more clingy. I had never seen a fever of 105…and, I don’t want to see one ever again.

Rea has been dying for us to open the Wii Fit we got for Christmas. She’s been striking a very good Yoga pose to help inspire us to get it opened and hooked up. I opened the box this afternoon just to check it out, and as soon as the board was out, Rea jumped on and stuck her pose. Looks like the Wii Fit is going to get us all in shape!

Rea was suppose to wake us up first before going downstairs, but as soon as she opened her door, looked down at the tree and saw her new kitchen she was gone. I actually heard her and got up and caught her downstairs playing with the new kitchen. I asked her what she was doing and she said, “Playing with my new kitchen. Santa came and brought lots of presents!” I really wish I could have seen her face when she saw her kitchen. I bet her eyes got as big as saucers.

Here’s Rea opening her first present. It didn’t take her long to tear thru the paper and move on to the next one. She’s an old pro at the whole Christmas thing now.

Emmy was more interested in her milk than presents at first. That was ok, it gave Rea plenty of time to rip thru most of her presents. Emmy did quickly spot a mini m&m tube in one of Reagan’s boxes and had to have it. She loves those little tubes…so much so, that I usually have to empty them out and give her the tube while Rea eats the m&ms out of a bowl.
