Rea & Jace

Rea & Jace

Rea has gotten to play with her cousin Jace since we’ve been here.  She calls him “my friend.” They had a lot of fun tonight.  Uncle J.B. and Aunt Fallon rode them around the yard on the riding lawn mowers. Uncle J.B. even let Rea drive!

We had a lot of laughs tonight at Gran-mimi and Poppy’s house, but this was far and away our biggest.  Emmy threw up about 5 minutes after we got there, and of course I didn’t have another outfit.  That’s why she’s naked in all the photos.  She was still in her carseat when she threw up, so Wynn borrowed a towel to put in it when we left.  When we got ready to go, he strapped her in and this was the result.  He turned her around and said, “look, it’s count purpula!” We all laughed so hard.  smile

Still making the rounds, here’s Emmy with her Gran-mimi.  This is the lap she stays in the most any time we’re over at Wynn’s parents’ house.

This is Emmy with Wynn’s grandmother “Mimi.” I like that Emmy is giving me a “not another picture” look.  smile

We spent this evening at Wynn’s parents house.  Emmy got passed around from lap to lap.  Here she is with her Poppy.

charge!!!

charge!!!

Rea saw me taking pictures of everyone on the back porch, and the little booger charged me.  As soon as she got to me, she grabbed me leg, swung around and took back off again.  We had so much fun playing in the yard.  She’d squeal with laughter.  Of course, I managed to find the one hole in the yard to trip in and sprained my ankle.  I wish I had a picture of me helping Rea “climb” a tree.  I picked her up thinking she’d kinda scoot up the tree as I held her for support.  Nope, not my Reagan…she put her feet on the tree and ran up until her feet were way above her head.  I was laughing so hard I could barely hold her up there.

war stories

Pappaw came over this evening for dinner and visiting.  After dinner, we all went outside so Reagan could play.  While I was playing with Reagan, Pappaw told Wynn all about his shenanigans during WWII.  Pappaw’s got some amazing stories; he is quite a character.

hungry, hungry hippo

hungry, hungry hippo

Poor little Emerson is being eaten alive by a giant, blue hippo.  Who knew that hippos like strawberries.  smile This has been the handiest little play mat while in Arkansas.  Jeni bought this for her on our last trip to Houston.  Thanks Aunt Nini!  smile

we love our granny

we love our granny

My granny is in the hospital and not doing well.  We packed up and drove in late last night so we could spend as much time as we can with her.  I went first with Emmy this morning.  Granny just soaked her up.  She was so surprised to see us.  I told her it was Friday, and that instead of calling her (I call every Friday) that I decided to just come see her instead. She smiled and said, “our Fridays.”

Wynn and I took both girls back to see her this afternoon.  Reagan as usual knows how to lighten the mood.  When we got there she jumped out of the car yelling, “Granny…where are you?  I coming to the rescue!” When we got ready to leave the hospital she also plopped down in one of the chairs and refused to leave before she had spoken to the doctor.  smile

We love you Granny!

not so bad after all

not so bad after all

I finally thought to try the boppy with Emerson for tummy time, and she loves it!  Thank goodness.  Tummy time has been just brutal…for all of us.  smile
