I just can’t look

I just can't look

This was Rea trying to get her hair out of her eyes.

I guess since it’s New Year’s Eve I find myself thinking on what 2007 will bring.  They’re be many new things this next year…a new house, new friends, and lots of new memories.  It almost seems impossible that Rea will have her second birthday in just over 4 months.  It’s hard to believe that last Christmas she was crawling and pulling up, and by next Christmas she will be running around with little pigtails and excited about leaving cookies and milk out for Santa.

I had grand ideas for this year’s holiday photos, but since we’re still homeless in Arkansas, this was the best I could do.  At least next year, we’ll be in our house, and my studio will be up and running.  Regardless, isn’t that just the cutest little face.  She looks so much like Wynn in this photo.  I really need to scan in and post one of his baby photos for comparison.  smile

another Christmas is behind us

another Christmas is behind us

We had a great day yesterday.  Rea was able to enjoy her presents a lot more this year.  She loved playing with her cousins, Matthew and Jonathon yesterday too.  She was so tired from all the excitement that Wynn had her sound asleep after only about 2 minutes of rocking.

Now it’s time to start thinking about New Years.  We crossing our fingers and hoping that we will be celebrating in our new house.

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

Rea made out like a bandit on gifts this morning.  She got all kinds of toys, like a sit and spin, elmo, a little talking vacuum cleaner, a musical tea set, and several stuffed animals.  I’m sure you’re wondering…well, what toy was her favorite?  Her favorite is the little blue snowman bucket that’s she been wearing as a hat for the last week.  She opened all her gifts, half-heartedly played with a few of them, then walked over to her old toys and took out her little bucket, and put it back on her head.  She’s such a little nut, she’ll wear that bucket on her head for hours, but will yank off her santa hat in a matter of seconds.  smile

‘twas the night before Christmas

'twas the night before Christmas

and not a creature was stirring.  Not even a Reagan.

Reagan skipped her nap this afternoon.  I guess she was just too excited about Santa coming tonight.  We were going to keep her up until bedtime, but the little goober crashed on us around 5:00.  She’s all set for Santa coming, she’s even learned to say, “ho ho ho!”

we have a climber

we have a climber

Last week Rea mastered climbing out of her extra large pack-n-play.  What a challenge that has been at nap time!  We just keep trying to make do until our new house is ready.  But, if the pack-n-play climbing wasn’t enough, Rea decided to start climbing over the baby gate.  As you can imagine, Reagan has no fear.

it’s a good thing it’s bath night

it's a good thing it's bath night

Reagan got her money’s worth out of her bath tonight.  She LOVES my spaghetti, as you can tell from her little orange beard.  Now, how can not love that little face?  smile

hey, how do you use this thing?

hey, how do you use this thing?

Rea is fascinated with Pops’ walker.  She used it as a fort last night, while Pops was resting in his recliner.  She also likes to get in front of him while he’s walking.  She’ll put her hands on each side and walk backwards.  I think she thinks she’s helping.  smile

i’m so dizzy, my head is spinning

i'm so dizzy, my head is spinning

Reagan’s latest game is to get in the middle of the rug and start spinning around in a circle until she can barely walk or even stand up.  She’s made us laugh so hard lately!

I think she would love one of those “sit and spin toys”.  Who knows, maybe Santa will bring her one.  smile

an apple a day

an apple a day

Reagan loves her fruit.  Nana was nice enough to share an apple with her this evening.

Nana and Pops finally made it back home from the hospital after Pops’ hip replacement.  Rea was sure glad to see them, but Rea keeps trying to make a run for it with Pops walker.  Let’s hope she doesn’t leave him stranded somewhere.
