on the move again

Well, tomorrow is the big day!  We’ve been busy packing and loading up all day today.  We still have a little to do tonight, but we’re right on track for tomorrow.  The mover’s will be here early in the morning, and then we close at noon.  Once we finish with the closing, Wynn will head to Dallas, and Reagan, Tootsie and I are heading to Crossett.  Mom’s riding to Crossett with us, so that’s going to make the drive a lot easier.  I’m hoping we can get to Crossett by around 8:30.  It’s going to be a long day tomorrow, but at least we’ll finally be past this stage of the move.

wispy, wispy, wispy

wispy, wispy, wispy

I’m still not sure how Reagan managed to get her hair to do this.  I looked over this morning, and it almost looked like she had two little horns.  Luckily for us, she didn’t have the attitude to match.  smile

Moving update:  We move in less than 5 days!!!  We’re very excited, but at this point we’re all really ready to have the move over with.  I know we haven’t been packing up for that long, but right now it seems like it’s been forever.

but, i can do it myself

but, i can do it myself

Reagan’s getting more and more independent.  This morning, I thought I would help her with eating her cereal, but as soon as I grabbed the spoon, she broke down in tears.  Of course she stopped the second I handed the spoon back.  She had one little tear that just sat on her cheek for the longest, so I was able to grab the camera and snap this shot.

marked excitedness

You have no idea how powerful those two words can be.  Rea’s had a bit of a cold the last few days, so I’ve been giving her Benadryl, which normally makes her extremely drowsy.  Well, we ran out, and I couldn’t find the same Benadryl so I bought a different one.  I have never seen that kid so excited in the entire year and half she’s been here.  She ran lap after lap after lap around the house.  I quickly learned not to give her that particular Benadryl again, but I’ve been to several stores and can’t find the one that works best.  So, I decided yesterday to try Dimetapp.  It’s label also says, “may cause drowsiness” and “may cause marked excitedness in children.” Well, it too goes in the marked excitedness column.  The best way to describe the marked excitedness is to compare her to Hammy when they give him the Mach 6 energy drink in Over the Hedge.  smile

naughty or nice…or just plain terrified?

naughty or nice...or just plain terrified?

Any guess as to what Rea thought of Santa this morning?  She lasted all of 5 seconds.  She took one look at him and then it was full on panic.  The only good thing that I can say is that she managed to forget about the bow in her hair.  Oh well…there’s always next year.

I said, don’t bother me; I’m on the phone

I said, don't bother me; I'm on the phone

Reagan has been fascinated with our bed the last few days.  This evening after I got her changed into her pjs, she climbed up there and put her hand up to her ear and starting chatting away like it was a phone.  Wynn gave her the real phone and dialed Nana and Pops for her.  She kicked back on our bed and talk to them for the longest.

Christmas photo session

Christmas photo session

We took Rea to Mercer Arboretum this morning so I could do her Christmas card photos.  She’s at that age where she’s not very interested in the camera…she’d rather be exploring.  This is one of the photos I took.  We chose two different ones for the Christmas cards.  It’s hard to believe that it’s already time to be thinking about holiday cards!

toys for tots

Reagan and I started a family holiday tradition yesterday.  We donated a huge box of new toys to Toys for Tots.  Toys for Tots is really a great organization, and it couldn’t be easier to donate.  You can drop off new toys at any Toys R Us location thru November 22nd.  You can also make monetary donations online.  For more info, check out http://www.toysfortots.org and http://www.toysrus.com

What better way to start the holidays???

I took this on our way to Dallas on Friday.  Reagan had some of her star puffs for a snack.  I looked back and she had one stuck to her cheek.  She didn’t notice it for the longest.  Maybe she was saving it for later.  smile

So far, the best part about moving to Reagan is getting to play with and in all the boxes.  Luckily for her, we have boxes all over the house right now.  Countdown to moving…17 days!!!
