in character

I can’t wait to watch the video from the play today. Rea was so funny. She was certainly committed to her character. Once the play was over, she must have bowed at least 20 times.

Rea has been studying Goldilocks & the 3 Bears at school all week. Today, they acted out the story for all the parents. Rea was baby bear. She asked me to make her some bear ears, so I whipped these up yesterday…then she told me they had masks for to wear during the play. Little booger just wanted some ears! Oh well…they turned out super cute. She’s worn them for 2 days straight now.
Reagan is having her first sleep over tonight! They’ve had so much fun today. There’s been pizza, brownies & milk, playing, story time and even a little Alvin and the Chipmunks. When I checked on them half an hour ago, Emmy was completely sacked out, and Kaylee was adjusting Rea’s sleep mask for her. They’re sound asleep up there now, but made sure to put in their breakfast orders before dozing off.
Some of the funnies that I was lucky enough to over hear today: “have you brushed your hair today…cause it doesn’t look like it” and “I see your boobs.” Silly girls!
Sometimes you just have to dance, and sometimes you just have to run. Emmy loves to just break out running in circles around the table and in big circles in the living. It’s so cute to watch her running and laughing.
Emmy was way over due for a haircut, so we braved the cold and went to Snip Its this morning. She did great as always, and the butterfly hair clip they gave her lasted way longer than usual. Here she is fresh from a bath and covered in curls.
So I was in the laundry room folding laundry this afternoon, and I hear Rea ask for help. It wasn’t overly dramatic or loud, so I finished my laundry, walked thru the living room, rounded the corner and found this. Now see boys and girls, this is what happens when you try to sneak over the gate. BUSTED!
Emmy saw Rea helmet in the garage and just had to wear it today. It was a snug fit, so it’s definitely time to get Rea a new helmet.
Emmy had the best time riding her bike today. When Wynn told her it was time to go inside, she said “no” and slowly started to back away from him.
Emmy picked up a little catch phrase from staying two weeks at Nana’s.
